Sara Stern (Grushinskaya u/s)

Sara is very happy to join the talented cast and crew of Grand Hotel. She is a versatile performer in musicals, operetta, and theater—with roles from vamp, pants, mother, sister, to naughty friend, and lately, grande dames of a certain age. Favorite, fun credits in include: “Lady Jane,” Patience (G&S Opera Company) “Fruma Sarah,” Fiddler, “Praskovia” The Merry Widow (both Light Opera Works—now Music Theater Works), “Old Lady” in Sunday in the Park with George, “Woman One, u/s” in Putting It Together (both Porchlight Music Theatre), and originating the role of “Martha” in Down & Derby (The New Colony) and “Bernarda” in a new adaptation by Poetry/IS of The House of Bernarda Alba (Red Twist). Other credits include Chamber Opera Chicago, Pegasus Players, The American Girls Revue, and Light Opera Works. By day Sara is a philanthropy marketing exec at Lipman Hearne.
