JONATHAN ALLSOP (Craig McDermott, others)

Jonathan is a Chicago based actor/singer. Some of his theatre credits include: Scotch (swing) in Is God Is at A Red Orchid Theatre, Person in the Middle in one in two (PrideArts Theatre), Reverend Parris in The Crucible (Parallel 45 Theatre), Tanner in White (Definition Theatre), Carson in Hit The Wall (Northern Illinois University), Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival), Bus/Dryer (swing) in Caroline or Change (Firebrand Theatre), and Dylan in Human Resource(s) (Theatre Evolve). Jonathan is represented by Shirley Hamilton Talent and is an Artistic Resident at Schmilliams Artist Studio.

RYAN ARMSTRONG (Detective Kimball, others)

Ryan is so excited to be making his Kokandy debut in American Psycho! Recent credits include: Andy Warhol in Iran (Northlight Theatre), The Best Friggin’ Songs of Second City (Second City), Q Brothers Christmas Carol, Short Shakes! Comedy of Errors (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), Style & Grace (Black Ensemble Theatre), The Last Session (Refuge Theatre Project – Jeff Nomination – Best Supporting Actor in a Musical). Ryan has also performed at Theo Unique Cabaret Theatre, Pride Films & Plays, Timber Lake Playhouse, & Underscore Theatre. Ryan hails from  St. Louis, Missouri and attended Millikin University.

HAILEY BRISARD (Vanden, others)

Hailey is so excited to be making both her Chicago and Kokandy debut! Her recent credits include Loki: At the End of the World (CCPA) and Bright Star (CCPA) She gives so much gratitude to her parents, teachers, friends, and mentors for all of their support!


Jenny (she/her) is so excited to join American Psycho for its extension! Recent credits include The Addams Family (Metropolis PAC), Pippin and The Producers (Music Theater Works), Elf (Drury Lane Theatre), Ilona in She Loves Me (CCPA), and Roxie Hart in Chicago. Abbey (she/her) is very excited to be working with Kokandy Productions again after recently performing in their production of The Spongebob Musical. Graduated from Central Michigan University in 2021 with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Currently performing in Improvised Housewives of iO at the iO Theater. AMBER DOW (Mrs. Bateman, others)

Amber is thrilled to be making her Kokandy debut (the hype is real!)! A graduate of Northwestern University’s theatre program with a music theatre certificate, Amber has performed on stage in Chicago, New York City and other cities across the country, and on screen in ABC’s All My Children, the Oxygen Network and Nickelodeon. Recent credits include Matron “Mama” Morton in Chicago the Play, originating the role of Lilian (lead) in the new musical Raven’s Stars in Chicago, Daria Chase in the hilarious farce The Game’s Afoot, Patsy Cline in the musical Always…Patsy Cline, Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia! and singing with the KennyLIVE band at the House of Blues in downtown Chicago. She is currently filming a comedic whodunnit short film named Hint as a principal. Amber is currently seeking representation. Sonia is a Jeff-nominated actress, writer, musician, and teaching artist. Recent Chicago credits include Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Oak Park Festival Theatre), Leading Player in Pippin (Music Theater Works), and Princess Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress (Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre). She has also worked with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Northlight Theatre, and Chicago Children’s Theatre. Regionally, she toured King Lear & Twelfth Night with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks for their 50th Anniversary season. Sonia is a frequent collaborator with the revolutionary Filament Theatre, where her TYA play Think Fast, Jordan Chase! had its world premiere earlier this year. She is a company member with Playmakers Lab and a teaching artist with Court Theatre. They have a BA in Theatre from Butler University, and certificates from LAMDA and The Moscow Art Theatre School. Bryson Howard is a comedian, actor, singer, and Chicago transplant from South Carolina. Bryson is thrilled to be working with Kokandy for the first time! He has performed extensively at The Annoyance Theatre, including as a member of BabyWine (an all-LGBTQ+ comedy group); he was in the cast of “Queer Eye: The Musical Parody” at The Second City; he has been an understudy with The Second City’s national touring company, e.t.c. Revue, and Main Stage Revue; and he can be found performing improv all over Chicago. Bryson loves to run, watch 30 Rock, eat cheese, wear sweaters, and experience generalized anxiety. QUINN KELCH (Luis Carruthers)

Quinn is dying to make his Kokandy debut in AMERICAN PSYCHO. Evan is psyched to be working with Kokandy for the first time on this Chicago premier! He attended the Chicago College of Performing Arts, where he earned his BFA in Musical Theatre. You may have seen him recently in the ensemble of Blank Theatre Company’s production of Merrily We Roll Along, or as J. Bowden Hapgood in MadKap’s production of Anyone Can Whistle. He was also an understudy for the World Premier of Andrew Kramer’s play St. Sebastian. Evan would like to thank his Mom, Dad, and brother Ben for their continued love and support.

LYNSY FOLCKOMER (Sound Engineer, Assistant Sound Design)

Lynsy (she/her/hers) is a Chicago-based actor and sound artist from Brevard, North Carolina. She is a resident ensemble member of the Jones Classical Theatre and has engineered several shows in the Chicagoland area, most recently Ernest Shackleton Loves Me with Porchlight Music Theatre and Tick, Tick… Boom! with Boho Theatre. This is her second season engineering for Kokandy!

SYD GENCO (Makeup Designer)

Syd is thrilled to be back designing for Kokandy after designing last years hit SWEENEY TODD and this summers splashy SPONGEBOB THE MUSICAL (where she not only designed, but also performed in the role of Perch Perkins!) Syd is an ensemble member, Company Manager, and Company Makeup Designer for Hell in a Handbag Productions, where she has performed and designed for the past 11 years. Past favorites with HIAH include SNOWGIRLS (Ice Crystal), THE ARTIFICIAL JUNGLE (Roxanne), RUDOLPH THE RED HOSED REINDEER (Elfina). She designed for many other companies, including Trap Door, Highland Park Players, Glass Apple Theatre, and more! She’s a graduate of The Chicago College of Performing Arts with a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance. She is a freelance makeup designer and artist, certified at Make Up First School Chicago

HEIDI JOOSTEN (Music Director)

Heidi (She/her/hers) is a Chicago-based composer, lyricist, pianist, harpist, orchestrator, sound designer, music director, vocal coach, and conductor. She is absolutely thrilled and grateful to be collaborating with Kokandy Productions and this stellar cast/team on this production of AMERICAN PSYCHO. Since 2014, Heidi has collaborated on over 100 new theatrical, comedic, and concert productions in the Chicagoland area. Recent theatrical contracts include GREASE (Drury Lane, orchestrator) BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Chicago Shakespeare Theater, AMD/associate conductor/orchestrator), DON’T QUIT YOUR DAYDREAM (Second City Mainstage, understudy music director), ASSASSINS (Theo Ubique, music director), SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE (national tour, associate conductor) and CHILDREN OF EDEN (Chicagoland Theatre Fund, music director/conductor). Notable theatrical writing collaborations include: THE BONE HARP, QUEER EYE: THE MUSICAL PARODY, SAINT HILDEGARD, and MICRO.  Heidi is a highly sought after classical composer with over 200 works to her name, and her award-winning music has been performed across the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia. Heidi holds composition degrees from UW-Eau Claire and CCPA. She is an adjunct professor at North Park University and also works as an MD in the Second City Training Center. KATE LASS (Fight Choreographer)

Kate Lass is a Chicago-based fight choreographer and an Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors. She has choreographed and taught stage combat all around the US. G “MAX” MAXIN IV (Scenic Design, Lighting Design, Projection Design)

After over a decade in Chicago, Max (he/him) has created over 250 designs on over 150 professional & educational productions. He teaches and is the Resident Lighting Designer for the Theatre Conservatory at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts, and was an instructor at Northeastern Illinois University for 7 years, receiving an Instructor Excellence Award in 2019. One of the founding members of Another Door Theatre Project, Max worked for 3 years as Head of Production/Resident Scenographer. He also spent 2 summers designing lighting for La Musica Lirica, a touring opera company in Novafeltria, Italy. He has received a Lou Award for Best Lighting on Into the Woods (Big Noise), has 1 Equity, & 5 Non-Equity Jeff nominations. Max designed set & lights on the 2022 Non-Equity Jeff Award winner for Best Musical, Kokandy’s Sweeney Todd; as well as light & projections on the 2019 Non-Equity Jeff Award winner for Best Musical, BoHo’s Big Fish. Favorite design projects at Porchlight, Kokandy, Mercury, Black Ensemble, American Blues, Cincinnati Shakespeare, Theatre at the Center, Black Button Eyes, BoHo, Steppenwolf Garage, Another Door, CCPA, NEIU, Northwestern, & DePaul.

KENDYL MEYER (Stage Manager)

Kendyl is psyched to be on this project. DAVID MORELAND (Technical Director)

David is a Chicago-based performer most recently seen as Drew  in ‘Rock of Ages’ at Mercury Theater, before that he was Mark in ‘RENT’ with Porchlight Music Theatre and Sebastian in Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical with Kokandy Productions, for which he received a Jeff Nomination. Previous credits include: Don’t Dress for Dinner, Bridges of Madison County (Brightside Theater); Noises Off, Mousetrap, A Christmas Carol (Metropolis Performing Arts) The Last Five Years, Big Fish (Big Noise Theater).
